Create a Graphic Lino Zine: 5 week course
Over 5 weeks, you will learn comprehensive design and lino printing techniques and also be guided on how to plan for and execute a creative project. You will go home with a unique 8-page graphic lino print zine and the confidence to take on your own creative projects at home!
What is a zine?
A zine is a mini, often hand-made magazine designed for small distribution. They are low cost and fun to make and are usually self-published and created out of passion. They can be about anything – art, music, personal stories, politics, or whatever matters to you. They mix images and words and are a great way to get a personal message across to your audience!
The course runs Saturdays at 9am for 5 weeks starting January 17.
Combining Layers: The Urban Edition
In this 6 week (in person) mixed media urban art course, you will learn to combine different materials and techniques to create a bold, street-inspired canvas. You will learn to develop a creative idea, conduct artist research and be taught a combination of artistic methods to create your own urban style, including:
- Designing & creating stamps with lino
- Painting, stencil art & building layers
- Collage techniques & mark making
I created this course as I had trouble finding something that matched my style! Most of the collage classes I came across catered to an older audience and were a bit… floral, for my liking. So here you have it, a grimy shamozzle of techniques with a splattering of mediums. Come with me as we lean into chaos to find your creative centre
