About

About

I’m a printmaker and mixed media artist from the South West of Western Australia, living and creating in Fremantle. I’ve always been interested in art from a young age and studied it throughout my schooling years. When an office job was making me physically and mentally sub-par, I took some time off to reflect o how I wanted to structure my life. I returned to study Visual Arts (Cert III) at Margaret River TAFE and rediscovered a love for, specifically, printmaking ceramics and mixed media art. I discovered a surprised passion for guiding others. My peers naturally gravitated to me for advice and feedback and the idea of teaching art began to take shape.

Today, I run fun, engaging, and informative lino print workshops from my studio at Stackwood in White Gum Valley, just minutes from home. My studio is both a working studio and a place for connection, experimentation, and creativity – where my friendly studio dog, Bodhi, leans in for a scratch

My Artistic Style

My artwork is illustrative, edgy and often quirky and playful. I create and sell:

  • Original hand-pulled lino prints
  • Mixed media artworks
  • Digital prints, journals, and t-shirts
  • Artist-grade lino print kits

Whether you encounter my work in my studio, at markets, or online, it reflects a love of storytelling, craftsmanship and creative exploration.

Workshops & Teaching Philosophy

I believe art should be fun, relaxing, and empowering. My workshops are designed to give participants:

  • Step-by-step guidance with clear instructions
  • Opportunities to experiment and explore their own creative voice
  • A welcoming, personalised environment where everyone feels supported and free to express themselves

Students often describe my classes as fun & enjoyable, relaxed & welcoming and easy to follow. You can view some of my testimonials below!

Workshops aren’t just about learning technique, they’re about taking time for yourself, connecting with others and leaving with an artwork you’re proud to frame!

It is my intention that the confidence you find in my classes echoes out into other areas of your life.

How I Work

Every class I teach is personalised to the group, encouraging experimentation, conversation, and connection. Rather than a “paint by numbers” approach, I strongly encourage all participants to come up with their own unique design. I work closely with everyone in the class to workshop their designs and explain the lino printing process clearly and in digestible pieces.

I love creating a space where people can relax, have fun, and take away practical skills and confidence to continue their new creative obsession at home.

Looking Ahead

I’m expanding into:

  • Online learning, so you can access my workshops from anywhere in the world!
  • Launching my online shop
  • Growing in-person classes
  • Continuing to build my reputation as an approachable, knowledgeable art teacher and artist
  • Furthering my own creative development, advancing my style and creating new bodies of work

Join a Workshop

Workshops run weekly, with tickets available via my Humanitix page. Private group bookings of 4–12 people available on request.

If you love creativity, want to try something hands-on, or are looking for a unique group activity, I’d love for you to join a workshop and experience lino printing for yourself.

Loved this, Carley is a great teacher! We found the class to be a lot of fun and suitable for all levels of experience. If you have some sketches to bring you can get straight to work, otherwise Carley had plenty of books and material available to assist with inspiration and coming up with a design. Highly recommend!
